Teeners beat Watertown twice

• The Groton teeners hosted Watertown in a pair of games Monday night, winning both of them. Groton won the first game, 4-3, after Trevor Pray hit a double to get on base and Jackson Doeden followed with the game winning RBI single. Lucas Sternhagen had two hits, Pray a double and Doeden, Adam Herman, Spencer Knecht, Alec Voss and Nic Dalchow each had a hit. Dalchow pitched for six innings, throwing 94 pitches for four strike-outs, six walks and four hits. Alec Voss pitched for one inning, throwing six pitches for one strike-out. Knecht was the catcher.
• Groton easily won the second game, 16-6, in five innings. Groton scored 16 runs on 15 hits and had one error. Watertown scored six runs on six hits and had two errors. Doeden started the game with a home run and later on added another hit, Isaiah Cutler and Herman each had a double and a single, Knecht had a double and two singles and Wyatt Larson, Rayce Harder and Chance Strom each had a hit.  Sternhagen threw 75 pitches for one strike-out, three walks, six hits and two hit by pitch. Cutler was the catcher.
