Miss South Dakota Contestant

• Young women from across the state will arrive in Hot Springs June 22 to begin rehearsals for the 67th annual Miss South Dakota Pageant.  After 4 days of rehearsals, the preliminary competitions will be June 26 and 27, and the finals will be held June 29. The sports-centered pageant theme is "Ready to Rumble," and will feature music focusing on football, basketball and baseball, paying tribute to the excitingly competitive worlds of both sports and pageantry.
• The pageant will feature Calista Kirby of Brookings, Miss South Dakota 2012. Calista represented South Dakota in the

Miss America Pageant in January in Las Vegas and has spent the year advocating for her personal platform, "Stay Well, Get Well, American Cancer Society."
• The contestants will be judged on a private interview with the judges (25%), talent (35%), evening gown (20%), on-stage question (5%), and swimsuit (15%).
• The young women competing are (name, age, title, hometown, talent, and platform):
• Carrie Wintle, 19, Miss Dakota Rose, Iroquois, Talent: Jazz Dance, Platform: Fit
