Legion splits with Clark

• Groton Legion hosted Clark Tuesday night and split a pair of games with the visiting team.
• Clark won the first game, 15-10. Groton scored 10 runs on nine hits and had five errors. Clark had 15 runs on 10 hits and had one error.
• Groton scored six runs in the bottom of the seventh inning including a three RBI home run by Brandon Stanley.
• Mason Madsen was the starting pitcher and Michael Erickson pitched the last two innings. Kasey Kurtz was the catcher.
• Stanley had a home run and a single, Parker Rossow had two hits, Jeric Albrecht had a double and Madson, Jamie Jorgensen, Drew Planteen and Dave Campbell each had a hit.
• Groton came back to win the second game, 10-5. Groton scored 10 runs on 12 hits and had no errors. Clark scored five runs on eight hits and had no errors.
• Drew Planteen was the winning pitcher, throwing 104 pitches in seven innings for two strike-outs, four walks, one hit by pitch and eight hits. Kurtz was the catcher.
• Dane Campbell had a triple, a double and a single, Parker Rossow had a double and two singles, Jamie Jorgensen had two hits and Drew Planteen, Michael Erickson, Kasey Kurtz and Dylan Krueger each had a hit.
