• Groton's Teeners won the Team Chase Benefit Tournament held this past weekend in Lennox.
• Groton won the first game with a 10-0 win over Worthing, Minn. Adam Herman had a double and two singles while Jackson Doeden, Luke Sternhagen, Spencer Knecht, Nick Dalchow, Wyatt Larson and Trevor Pray each had a hit. Alec Voss was the pitcher, thwoing 75 pitches for six strike-outs, five hits and two walks. Dalchow was the catcher.
• Groton then defeated Chancellor, 6-3. Knecht had a double, Herman and Doeden each had two hits and Sternhagen and Voss each had one. Brady Keith was the pitcher, throwing 91 pitches for seven strike-outs, three hits and three walks. Dalchow was the catcher.
• Groton defeated Garretson in the championship game, 7-1. Herman had two doubles, Rayce Harder was three for three at bat with two runs scored, Knecht had a double and Doeden, Sternhagen, Voss and Keith each had a single.
