20th Annual Triathlon

Groton Area Chamber of Commerce held its 20th Annual Triathlon on Saturday with 10 teams competing in the trap shooting, golfing and bowling.
Each contestant shot 50 traps at the Jerry Schley Farm in the morning, followed by eight holes of golf at the Olive Grove Golf Course and finished up with three games of bowling at the Jungle Lounge and Lanes in the afternoon.
In the team division, Full Circle Ag won the competition with 7201 points. Treeline Tree Service finished in second place with 7144 and Schley Farms placed third with 7110 points.
Individual event winners were Thad Albee (Full Circle Ag) in the Trap contest with 880 points. Scott Ketterling land Josh Anderson (The Dude's) won the golfing portion with 1083 points and the bowling segment was won by Jason Schaunaman (Rock 94.1) with 889 points.
Tyler Sperry (Treeline) and Kevin Nehls (Jungle) were named the Ironman winners with 2570 and 2509 points respectfully. The Courage Award was earned by Tom Woods (Rock 94.1).
The Chamber will be hosting their annual Golf Tournament on Friday at the Olive Grove Golf Course.
