need to be addressed in the building. All the trucks have been inspected and are ready to go. The Bath pumper is still in need of window wipers, as parts for the 1976 truck are hard to find and it still needs to pass it's pressure test, which should be conducted this next week.
• Firemen from the two stations spent about five hours going over all the hose on the trucks, cleaning it and testing. All the trucks now have the proper amount of hose required by the state. There is some spare hose left over, but the supply was pretty well depleted.
• The situation of the Andover Fire Department was also discussed. At the meeting last month, a member of the Andover Township discussed the option of Andover becoming a part of the Groton Fire & Rescue District. So far there has been no further discussion with any of the Andover residents or fireman on this step.
• Groton Fire Chief Dion Bahr suggested that before that major step is taken, a better mutual aid agreement between the two fire departments could be worked out that would allow the Andover department to remain open.
• This merger is only in the early stages of discussion and more discussion will be needed from the public as well as the fire department and township. It was five years, from the initial contact until Bath became part of the district and both of those departments were part of the same county.
