What's Next?

• Well Boomer friends, I just had another birthday and I am now closer rather than farther away from the century mark. I was reminded of that already a few years ago while driving down the interstate on a bright, colorful spring day and one of my daughters asked me if everything was in black and white when I was a kid.  Our television was in black and white as a kid and so were most instructions from mom and dad on how to live life. If we veered from this black and white course a certain part of our anatomy might be black and blue. Well, not for me so much as my twin brother who I usually blamed everything on. He blamed everything on me also but I must have had a more angelic look. Yes, I think that was it.
• So, on my birthday, my younger kids were wondering what my favorite fast food was as a kid. I said an apple. That took my thoughts a little bit down memory lane.  We didn't have any fast food places when I was a kid. There were some A&W drive-ins but they weren't fast. Most of our meals were served at home. We always sat down as a family for supper and all the food was homemade… nothing out of a box. No GMO's, high fructose corn syrup or aspartame, just good white sugar and farm fresh cream. The food was colorful but there was usually some black and white conversation concerning my twin brother's behavior throughout the day.
• Oh, and if we didn't like the meal that was served it was expected that we sit there until we did like it. During the meal there were no interruptions from a cell
