Teeners start season with 3-3 record

• Groton's Teener team took part in a tournament this past weekend and went 2-2 in the tourney.
• Beresford defeated Groton, 10-4. Nick Dalchow had two hits and Trevor Pray had one for Groton's battery. Alec Voss was the pitcher and Dalchow the catcher.
• Groton lost to Crofton, 6-3. Luke Sternhagen had two hits, Spencer Knecht, Bennett Shabazz and Wyatt Larson each had one hit. Rayce Harder had a double. Dalchow was the pitcher and Knecht the catcher.
• Groton defeated Mt. Vernon, 6-1. Sternhagen had three hits, Brady Keith had two, Knecht had one and Dalchow had a double. Knecht was the pitcher and Dalchow the catcher.
• Groton defeated Lennox, 8-0.. Jackson Doeden was three for three at bat with three runs scored, Sternhagen, Voss and Shabazz each had two hits and Harder had one. Voss was the pitcher and Dalchow the catcher.
• Earlier in the season, Groton split a pair of games with Northville. Groton lost the first game, 12-10. Larson had a triple, Knecht, Doeden and Voss each had a double and a single, and Sternhagen had two hits. Larson and Pray were the pitchers and Knecht was the catcher.
• Groton then came back with a vengeance to win the second game in four innings, 13-3. Knecht had a triple, a double and a single, Brady Keith had two hits and Doeden, Sternhagen, Voss and Dalchow each had one hit. Sternhagen was the pitcher with six strike-outs and Dalchow was the catcher.
