issue. Without completing ICS 100, 200 and 700, the city council will have no say in an emergency situation.
• Construction is in full swing with the main emphasis right now on Sixth Street in the 14-16th Ave. areas and also Ninth Avenue west of Sixth Street. Also, there will be dust proofing done on the west side of Groton and it will be done at an appropriate time.
• The soccer lease with the school was approved. The city will continue to do the maintenance and upkeep and then will bill the school district for half the cost.
• There was a typo in the summer salary ordinance so to correct it, they will give Ryan Koehler a $300 bonus; therefore, making his salary the same as last year at $1,800.
• The council agreed to allow Branden Ablen to give April Abeln 40 hours of his sick leave.
• Tara Telkamp was hired as a substitute baseball gatekeeper at a rate of $7.25 an hour.
• The council turned down a technology grant through the Broadband Initiative. The city will reapply and give more details in hoping to get a new load management computer.
