• The governor also wants to ensure multiple railway companies are able to access a stretch of rail where the line connects to the BNSF Railway line northwest of Yankton and connect the line to a proposed Dakota Plains Ag Center grain loading facility at Napa Junction, Groseclose said.
• "Everybody is in agreement that those five points ought to be recognized and dealt with," he said.

Powerball ticket sold in Rapid City worth $10,000

• RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) -- A Powerball ticket sold in Rapid City is worth $10,000 in the latest drawing.
• South Dakota lottery officials say the ticket matched four of five white ball numbers and the Powerball to win the game's third prize. The odds of doing so are one in about 649,000.
• The winner has about six months to claim the money.
• Powerball is played in most states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The jackpot sits at $50 million for the next drawing, on Saturday.

Yard waste fire at Rapid City landfill nearly out

• RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) -- A yard waste fire that has been burning for a week at the Rapid City landfill is nearly contained.
• Officials say the blaze should be fully out by the end of the week.
• When the blaze broke out on May 16, firefighters said they would let it burn itself out, a process that could take as long as two weeks. But City Solid Waste Superintendent Karl Merbach says officials have gained control of the fire and will extinguish it earlier.
• Officials don't know for sure how the fire started but think combustion might have played a role. The fire area was about the size of 1 ½ football fields, and the blaze produced heavy smoke.
