12 Groton athletes qualify for state track

• The Region 1A track meet was held yesterday in Britton with Groton qualifying a dozen athletes to the state meet to be held May 24-26 in Lennox and Sioux Falls.
• Jasmine Schaller won the 3200m run, Landon Larson won the 400m dash and Dalton Locke won the shot put.
• Kylie Hawkins took third in the 100m hurdles, the girls 1600m relay team of Cheyenne Schaller, Josie Doeden, Camille Sippel and Harleigh Stange took second, Erica Schuster took second in the discus and the boys 800m relay team of Nick Johnson, Landon Larson, Jackson Doeden and Nikolai Pyatt took second for all to be state qualifiers.

• Girl's Division
100m Hurdles: 3, Kylie Hawkins, 16.6; 4, Josie Doeden, 16.9; 8, Cheyenne Schaller, 19.3.
300m Hurdles: 4, Audrey Wanner, 51.7; 6, Cheyenne Schaller, 53.3.
100m Dash: 3, McKenzie Menzia, 14.0; 6, Kiana Kokales, 14.4.
