• The Cheerful Chimes Extension Club met on Wednesday May 8th.  There were seven members present.  Patsy Cutler did a talk on gardening with information gathered from a master gardener she saw in Aberdeen.  Mary Cutler presented three quizzes.  Prizes were won by Virginia Micko, Patsy Cutler and Janet Neff.  Seth Bauer, grandson of Janet Neff was a visitior.  Lunch was served by Jackie Pigott.
• Warren and Judy Pierson traveled to Bossier City Louisiana last week to attend the funeral services for Warren's brother, Tim Pierson.  I would like to extend my most sincere sympathy to the Pierson family for their loss.
• Dale and Susan Kurth and Jake and Tiffany Unzen and family traveled to Minneapolis MN to attend the baptism of little Annabel Pearl Kurth.  Annabel is the daughter of Troy and Jessica Kurth.  Mother's Day was celebrated while the families were there as well.
• Joe Martins sister, Martha Thompson from Albany Georgia has been here visiting with family and friends recently.
• Laura Pulfrey, daughter of Roy and Carrie Pulfrey, graduated from SD State on Saturday with a degree in nursing.  She has accepted a job at Sanford in Sioux Falls for later this summer.  She and five other girls have been living in a duplex the last two years.  Three of them, besides Laura and Josie Oakland  held a reception at their apartment after the graduation.  They used a mexican theme for eats, drinks, decorations and music.
