• Warm weather and green grass allowed the Groton Girls Golf team to host the Groton Invitational Golf meet on Tuesday. Five teams competed in the meet with Groton finishing in third place.
• Individually, Groton had a good meet with Nikki Koehler and Kasey Waage sharing a three-way tie with a 98. After the tie breakers, Koehler finished in sixth place and Waage in seventh place. Rachel Blackmun, 107; and Allison Weber, 119; finished just out of placing in the top 10.
• Groton will travel to Redfield on Friday to compete in the NEC Golf Tournament as they start to wind up for the State Tournament at the end of the month.
