• Reid Johnson handed out the awards for the Band program. Receiving the Band Director's Award, which is given to students who have shown improvement and/or consistency in the areas of musicianship, leadership, commitment and a positive attitude toward the band program, were Kelsey Wieseler, Ashley Larson, Alec Oleson, Kasey Waage, Luke Smith, Matt Knecht, Rachel Blackmun and Dakota Gonzales.
• Kari Hanson received the Drum Major Award and Kelsey Wieseler received the Semper Fidelis Award, which is new this year. It is given by the United States Marine Corps for musical excellence.
