• Attorney General Marty Jackley announced Monday that 28-year-old Jacob Lee Jarrett, of Rapid City, and 49-year-old Vincent Paul Vulpi, of Milwaukee, Ore., were each arrested and charged with one count of solicitation of a minor.
• Jackley says the charges stemmed from a sting operation in Rapid City which the suspects allegedly agreed to meet with a 14- year-old girl who was actually an undercover officer.
• Soliciting a minor carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.

Warmer weather improves farm conditions in SD

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- Pastures are beginning to turn green following warm weather and sunshine in South Dakota.
• The U.S. Department of Agriculture says in its weekly crop report that the spring-like conditions resulted in 1.7 days suitable for fieldwork. Activities included caring for livestock and preparing for spring planting.
• Winter wheat conditions were rated 16 percent very poor, 35 percent poor, 43 percent fair, 6 percent good and 0 percent excellent.
• Calving was 77 percent complete and lambing was 85 percent complete.
• Cattle and calf conditions were rated as 1 percent very poor, 6 percent poor, 29 percent fair, 57 percent good, and 7 percent excellent.

Mega Millions ticket sold in Rapid City worth $10K

• RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) -- A ticket sold in Rapid City is worth $10,000 in the latest Mega Millions drawing.
• South Dakota lottery officials say the ticket matched four of five white ball numbers and the Mega Ball to win the game's third prize in last Friday's drawing. The odds of winning it are one in about 689,000.
• Mega Millions is played in 42 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The jackpot sits at $114 million for the next drawing, on Tuesday.
