• DAKOTA DUNES, S.D. (AP) -- The Dakota Wesleyan women's golf team has captured the Great Plains Athletic Conference championship.
• The Tigers' 72-hole score of 1351 for the tournament ending Friday topped second-place Northwestern by 71 strokes. Morningside was third with 1441.
• The title marks Dakota Wesleyan's fifth in a row. The Tigers advance to the 2013 NAIA Women's Golf Championships on May 21-24 at Wilderness Ridge in Lincoln, Neb.
• Dakota Wesleyan's Lauren Fitts is the 2013 GPAC Women's Golfer-of-the-Year and women's medalist after a four round total of 325 (2-under).
