Destination Imagination fundraising events planned

• There will be a series of fundraising events for Destination Imagination as three teams will be heading to the Global Finals in Knoxville, Tenn., May 20-26.
Pancake Feed: Sunday, April 21
• A pancake breakfast will be tomorrow from 3 a.m. to 5 a.m. (after the post prom party) and again from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the GHS Gym. The cost for all you can eat is $5 for the 3-5 shift and a free will donation for the 9-1 shift.
Dairy Queen Day: Tuesday, April 23
• The Groton Dairy Queen is assisting with the fundraising efforts as a certain percentage of the sales from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on April 23 will be going to the DI program. In addition, DI members will be assisting at the Dairy Queen.
Pork Loin Pre-sales deadline is Thursday, April 25
• Whole and half pork loins will be available for pre-order. They could be used for the field, Mother's Day dinner, graduate's party meal, or any other occasion. Prices are $16 for unsliced 1/2 loin or $19 for a sliced 1/2 loin; $30 for a whole unsliced loin or $35 for a whole sliced loin. Make checks payable to Groton DI and drop off at the elementary or high school office by April 25. Decide your pick-up date of April 30th or May 6th. Items can also be purchased on-line through the Groton Daily Independent's website at 397news.com, click on DI fundraiser on the left hand side.
