tations and combinations of sets. They will use this to find the probabilities of different experiments.

• Physical Science-  Kristen Gonsoir
• Physical Science students are finishing the final weeks of school studying how matter interacts. The class just finished its survey of the periodic table. The culminating project for this chapter was a student made periodic table that is in the hall outside of the physical science classroom. Each student was assigned given two elements to use to create a poster about the elements. Students then assembled the posters into a periodic table. This next week will be spent in examining how elements interact in forming compounds. The final weeks of school will be spent studying solution formation.

• Chemistry I - Kristen Gonsoir
• Chemistry I is currently studying the gas laws. This past week students completed a laboratory exercise to experimentally determine the molar mass of the gas used in lighters. Several student teams did very well, experimentally determining quite closely the correct molar mass. The gas used in lighters is butane that has a molar mass of 58 g/mole. Chemistry will spend the end of the year studying solutions and solution formation.
