Putney Putovers 4-H Club

•  The Putney Putovers 4-H Club met April 8, 2013 at 6:00 PM at the Groton Community Center. President Alexis Simon called the meeting to order. The US Flag pledge was lead by Brenna Johnson. The SD Flag pledge was led by Porter Johnson. The 4-H Flag pledge was led by Dylan Krueger. Roll call topic was "Bicycle Safety Tip". Secretary Joellen Gonsoir presented the secretary's report. Ashley Gibbs moved to accept the secretary's report. Caleb Hanten seconded the motion and the motion passed. Treasurer Portia Ketterling presented the treasurer's report. Emma Donley moved to accept the treasurer's report. Carly Wheeting seconded the motion and the motion passed. It was reported that Kasey and Logan Hinman donated clothes to Good Will for community service.
•  Old business was presented. A thank you was read for those who helped pack bags for the BAGS program. Members were reminded to pay their 4-H insurance. New business included the reading of the Newshound. Important notes from the Newshounds included Rabbit Fun Day April 27th; Poultry Fun Day April 28th; Royalty Applications due May 10th; Sheep, Meat Goat/Swine weigh in May 17th; Final Enrollment May 24th; Dog Obedience every Thursday in June; TLC Camp June 3-7; Performing Arts June 9-15; Special Foods June 19th; County Horse Show June 26th; State Horse Show July 23-25; State Livestock judging contest July 26th; Summer Spotlight July 26-28. Carly Wheeting moved that the club donate $100 to the 4-H endowment "Sweet Dreams." Michaela Cutler seconded the motion and the motion passed. The next meeting will be May 20th. Hostesses will be Portia Ketterling and Carly Wheeting. Community service will be Joellen Gonsoir. Josie LaMee moved to
