FCCLA - Mrs. Tietz
"Project Eat Right" has been our theme this school year.  Members have focused on educating others about the importance of eating right and how to do it!  They have been provided the OST program with a healthy after school snack once a month and have really enjoyed it.  We celebrated FCCLA week in February by selling "Crush" cans to students and delivered them on Valentine's Day.  A big project that FCCLA has taken on is selling "Links of Love" at Groton athletic events.  Each link was sold for $1 and all money raised will be given to the Children's Miracle Network.  We will be taking the links, as well as the donation, along with us to the State FCCLA Meeting in April where it will be presented to the Children's Miracle Network during one of the general sessions.  This is an emotional ceremony, as the families who have or who will be receiving the donations are there to share their stories and show their appreciation. Sixteen of the FCCLAers will be attending the state meeting at the end of April where they will be competing in the Illustrated Talk categories and as be helping runners and timekeepers.  We will wrap up the year with our annual style show "FCCLA's Project Eat Right, presents Aprons on Parade" on May 2.  Please come and enjoy all of the projects the students have made as well as the latest prom fashions!
