Lawyers for Oscar Pistorius appeal against bail conditions in South African court

• PRETORIA, South Africa (AP) -- Lawyers for Oscar Pistorius are appealing against some of the Olympic athlete's bail restrictions in a court in the South African capital.
• Pistorius' lawyers say that the double-amputee runner, who is charged with murder in the shooting death of his girlfriend on Feb. 14, is being treated as a flight risk even though a magistrate ruled last month that he was not when he released Pistorius on bail.
• Lawyers argue that Pistorius should be allowed to leave South Africa with written permission. They also say that forcing him to report regularly to a police station and a ban on him consuming alcohol, among other conditions, are "unwarranted."
• Prosecutors say they will oppose any relaxing of Pistorius' bail restrictions. Pistorius was not present for the appeal at North Gauteng High Court.

Heat's winning streak ends at 27, 101-97 loss in Chicago leaves them 6 shy of 1971-72 Lakers

• CHICAGO (AP) -- The streak is over. The big prize is still out there.
• That's what mattered most to LeBron James and the Miami Heat.
• The Heat's bid for NBA history ended Wednesday night when their 27-game winning streak was snapped by the Chicago Bulls 101-97, setting off a raucous celebration inside United Center. Miami finished six shy of the 33-game record held by the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers.
• With 11 games remaining, there's no time for Miami to take another shot at the record. A big run in the postseason would seem to be a sure bet.
• After all, that's what it's about for the Heat. It's been that way ever since James
