Wings players spend time with Groton's first graders

The players introduced themselves to the class and where they were from and answered any questions the first graders had for them. And there former head coach is Pete Sauer.
• The players talked about the Billet families they live with tell they go back home. Their time with the Billet family is a very important time of their lives.  They are away from their friends and family (often for the first time), so, their Billets become their surrogate family. They said that they are away for about 2 to 3 months at a time. Klye Haak and Chad Catt live with one family and Zach Doering is with another, all in the Aberdeen area. Kyle Haak does his senior year right now at Central and will

graduate back home in his home town. The players say that to make the Aberdeen Wings team you have to get very good grades, get all your homework done and practice a lot. They  condition in the mornings, and practice about two hours in the afternoon.
