• White River opened up a 16-3 lead early in the second quarter. "We dug too deep of a hole," Raasch said. "White River knocked us out of our offense--their defense was more intense than we had expected."
• A glimpse of hope for the Lions occurred early in the second quarter as two White River turnovers turned into points. Planteen made two shots and Bo Fries made one as Langford scored six straight points to make it a 16-9 lead. Planteen also blocked a shot by Travis Burbank to get the fans fired up, but the Tigers quickly squelched Langford's enthusiasm. The Tigers scored the last six points of the second quarter to take a 22-9 lead at half time.
• In the second quarter, Langford made three of eight in field goals, attempted no free throws and had four turnovers. White River made two of 11 in field goals, three of four free throws and had two turnovers that turned into four points for Langford.
• Langford Area scored one more point in the third quarter than it did the entire first half. White River did nearly the same thing scoring 19 points in the third quarter.
