Top rated White River runs past Langford Area

• White River used its quickness and upped its shooting percentage to over 50 percent in the second half to beat Langford Area, 51-33. The first round of the State B Basketball Tournament was played at the Barnett Center in Aberdeen.
• "There's a reason White River is rated number one," said Langford Area Coach Paul Raasch. "They are the defending state champions have first team all-stater Wyatt Korgman."
• The Tigers controlled the tip and Nic Waln hit a three-pointer to start off the game. It was quickly a 7-0 lead as Langford called time-out. Drew Planteen got the Lions on the board with 5:02 left in the first quarter, but Planteen would make one of two free throws for all of Langford's first quarter points as White River took a 14-3 lead.
