SD superintendents to discuss challenges
• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- School superintendents from across southeastern South Dakota are gathering in Sioux Falls to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing area school districts.
• The Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Friday luncheon to help Chamber members better understand the issues facing the school districts.
• Superintendents from Brandon Valley, Harrisburg, Lennon, Sioux Falls and other area schools will be in attendance.
• The event runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Callaway's Event Center. Tickets are $15 for Chamber members and $30 for non-members.

Veterans Resource Center to open in Rapid City
• RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) -- Military students at the University Center-Rapid City will have one place to turn to for support services when the Veterans Resource Center opens Friday.
• A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the center will take place at 1p.m. at the University Center-Rapid City.
