All seven DI teams advance to state

• All seven of Groton's DI teams will be advancing to the state competition April 6 in Pierre. The regional tournament was held Saturday at the Johnson Fine Arts Center on the campus of Northern State University, Aberdeen.
• The senior level and middle level teams both took first place in the Challenge C: In Disguise. The B.A.G.S. Ladies with Heart took first in the Project Outreach: Real to Reel division. There were three teams in the Challenge B: Wind Visible division. The senior level team took first and the two elementary teams placed first and second. In the Challenge D: Change in Realitee, the senior level team took second.
• The middle school division of "Off The Subject," made up of Hannah Lewandowski, Sidney Donovan, Emma Donley, Madison Sippel and AnneMarie Smith earned the highest DI award possible with the DaVinic Award. They earned the award with the use of Duct Tape on their props.
• The youngest group, the Rising Stars, do not compete at this level. They go through the motions and get to perform at the regions at a starting level.
