• 8th Grade ART - Janene Harry
• The 8th graders are doing a lot of drawing this quarter. Their first project was creating a design within a circle and finishing it with colored pencils. The next two projects used one point and two point perspective. They created a street scene with 1pt. and were "amazed" by the 2pt. Mazes they drew. We incorporated a lot of math this during these projects. They will be doing a sculpture project using Celluclay, this is different than the pottery clay. They will end the quarter with several drawings using ebony and charcoal. They will projects at the Spring Concert and Art Show.

• ART I  - Janene Harry
• These students are finishing the second painting in their Watercolor Unit. They will be doing a sculpture unit using Crea-stone and they will also have a unit over Calligraphy. Each Thursday they have a sketchbook assignment due and this quarter they are doing studies from female artists and choice ideas. Each of them should have several projects on display at the Spring Concert and Art Show.

• ART II  - Janene Harry
• For the entire 3rd quarter they have been working on acrylic paintings. They will do two large paintings or some may do two small paintings and a large painting. They choose their own ideas and the pictures can be totally different or they can have similar themes. During the quarter they have nine sketchbooks to do and this quarter they will do a study of a female artist every other week and then choose their own for the other ones. Several projects will be displayed at the Spring Concert and Art Show.

• Art III -  Janene Harry
• These students choose the projects that they want to work on. They can continue to practice with familiar mediums or they are encouraged to try something new. They still have weekly sketchbook assignments with studies of female artists and choice ideas. Art projects will be out for you to view at the Spring Concert and Art Show.

• Student Internship - Janene Harry
• The Art Department is enjoying having Lincoln Lane as a student intern for the second semester. He is in the room during 6th hour and helps with the seventh grade students and also helps prepare supplies for upcoming projects and rotates the art work that is displayed in the hall. As an intern he has to keep a daily log and
