• Two lawsuits stemming from 2011 Mississippi River flooding also are pending. One was filed by those affected by the corps opening the Morganza spillway in rural Louisiana to lower water levels in heavily populated Baton Rouge and New Orleans. The other is tied to the corps' intentional breaching of the Birds Point levee in southeast Missouri to save nearby Cairo, Ill.

• Woman accused of injuring trooper charged with DUI
• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- A woman accused of injuring a South Dakota Highway Patrol trooper by hitting him with her car during an October chase is facing an additional charge.
• Rachel Coleman pleaded not guilty Tuesday to drunken driving. She had pleaded not guilty earlier to attempted murder and several other charges.
• Authorities say the 25-year-old Coleman struck Trooper Andrew Steen with her car while he was trying to pull her over for erratic driving early Oct. 17.
• Steen is recovering after two surgeries to remove part of his skull to relieve pressure on his brain, and then to replace it. He was released from the hospital shortly before Christmas.
• The grand jury did not have Coleman's blood-alcohol results when the original charges were filed.
• Coleman faces a maximum penalty of life in prison.

ConAgra, CHS, Cargill form huge milling venture

• MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The biggest U.S. flour miller is getting a lot bigger.
• ConAgra Foods is combining its flour milling business with Horizon Milling -- a joint venture of Cargill Inc. and CHS Inc. that was already No. 1 -- to create a new joint venture called Ardent Mills.
• The three companies said the deal announced Tuesday will create a business that will have a broader view of the marketplace and be able to serve their customers better.
• Ardent Mills will have 44 flour mills, three bakery mix facilities and a specialty bakery, all located in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. There are no plans at this time to close any of the facilities, ConAgra Foods spokeswoman Becky Niiya said.
