Curb and Gutter Resolution passes

• Over one-fourth of the city residents went to the polls on Tuesday to decide the fate of a curb and gutter issue. The council's resolution for curb and gutter passed with an 81.25 percent approval. The vote tally was 208 yes, 48 no. The voter turnout was 26.5 percent. According to City Finance Officer Anita Lowary, "This is the highest voter turnout for a single question ballot since I've been here for 32 years. It was an excellent turnout."

Kindergarten Screening
Feb. 25 - March 1

Parents of children ages 3-6 not yet attending school are asked to contact Heidi Krueger at the Groton Area Elementary School during school hours at 397-2317 to set up a screening time.

Kindergarten Screening will take place at the Groton Area High School Gymnasium.  Please park and use the east entrance to the gym.
