An arctic high pressure will translate to the east today allowing temperatures to moderate as surface winds regain at least some southerly component. All focus then shifts to a potential winter storm set to impact the region later this afternoon through Friday morning. Southern and southeastern South Dakota should bear the brunt of this storm with lighter amounts possible to the north and west.
