• Happy New Year!  Changes in the year mean changes in our schedule.    We will be doing a unit on South Dakota.  Starting with Lewis and Clark's trip to find a west passage, we will be looking at the great journey, exploration, and problems they came across as they traveled up the Missouri River.
•           In English we will be working on our writing skills.  Some of the writings we will be doing are a How*to* essay, persuasive writing, short reports, and personnel writings on our own experiences.  We will also cover nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs to make our writing complete.
•          We would like to thank Bob Snyder and Lyle Cutler for coming into our room to show us the art of carving.  Our students really enjoyed it.  It was really neat to see all the different thing people can do with their imagination.
•          Please continue drilling on the multiplication and division facts with your child.  The better we know them the easier our multiplication and division chapters will be.  Thanks parents for your continued help and support.
