• Ell made four three-pointers in less than four minutes and the Tigers started to pull away in the third quarter. Groton took a 45-37 lead into the fourth quarter. Ell continued to add points to the scoreboard with two three-pointers, a two-pointer, a free throw and he completed a three-point play. Groton went on to win, 65-47.
• Ell led the Tigers with 33 points, five rebounds, three steals and one assist. Mason Madsen had 16 points, five rebounds and three assists. Luke Sternhagen had seven points, one rebound and two assists. Wyatt Lone had six points, nine rebounds and one assist. Kyler Ell had three points, one rebound and one assist.
• Groton made 49 percent of its field goals while Britton-Hecla made 37 percent. The Tigers made 14 of 21 free throws off of Britton's 16 team fouls. The Braves made eight of 17 free throws off of Groton's 13 team fouls. Groton had seven turnovers, five of which were steals and Britton-Hecla had 10 turnovers, six of which were steals. Groton has more assists, 15-6, and had control of the boards, 37-28.
• Dallas Goedert led the Braves with 17 points and Preston Holland had 12.
• Groton won the junior varsity game, 35-27. Spencer Knecht led the Tigers with 10 points followed by Luke Sternhagen and Wyatt Larson with seven each, Jackson Doeden had four, Gabe Dohman, Shaun Schuring and Landon Larson each had two points and Bennett Shabazz added one point.
• Groton will host Roncalli Monday night in the season finale.
