Powerball ticket sold in Aberdeen worth $10,000

• ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) -- A Powerball ticket sold in Aberdeen is worth $10,000.
• South Dakota lottery officials say the ticket matched four of five white ball numbers and the Powerball in the Saturday drawing to win the game's third prize. The odds of doing so are one in about 649,000.
• The winner has about six months to claim the money.
• Powerball is played in 42 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The jackpot is at $50 million for the next drawing, on Wednesday.

Heavy snow causes roof to sag at ND business

• FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- Heavy snow has caused part of the roof to sag at a West Fargo business.
• No one was inside Caterpillar Inc. early Monday when the roof sagged over an area about 300 square feet. Early shift workers were told to stay home.
• The sagging roof broke a sprinkler line, but officials say the water damage was not significant.

Schools in eastern Dakotas close, start late

• FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- Schools throughout the eastern Dakotas are starting late or calling off classes for the day in the wake of the weekend blizzard that swept through the region.
• Dozens of primary and secondary schools in the two states have posted notices, and the weather also is affecting colleges and universities.
• In North Dakota, Valley City State and North Dakota State in Fargo both have closed their campuses for the day. The University of North Dakota in Grand Forks canceled classes before 10 a.m.
• Presentation College in the South Dakota city of Aberdeen also has closed its campus for the day.
