• This was a most interesting day. I knew the weather would bring things to a halt. I called our church council president on Saturday and told her it would be good to cancel church and she agreed.
• Almost right on cue the waves of snow started to roll in Saturday afternoon. But  I think I got more accomplished preparing

for the storm than I did all day Sunday. I wanted to get the car in the garage before the snow hit and I wasn't sure it was going to be possible. But after hauling out a pickup and a half load of boxes and miscellaneous stuff, there was just enough room to get the car in. That was exciting. The first time in years we've gotten a vehicle in a garage.
• I promised Jeslyn that we could bake Valentine sugar cookies Sunday afternoon. In the morning we made a batch of Rice Krispie bars. Then we did make the cookies in the afternoon. I told Jeslyn that it would be a good mother-daughter project to frost them on Monday since there is no school. Both Julianna and Jeslyn helped roll out the cookies.
• About the only thing I did constructive was working out on the Bowflex. Tina did a little snow blowing this afternoon. By Sunday evening, the wind started to pick up and visibility was really reduced with blowing snow. I29 was closed from Sioux Falls all the way to Fargo and I90 was closed from Sioux Falls to Wall. No travel was advised for most of South Dakota due to blowing and drifting snow.
