• Hamlin outrebounded Groton, 30-20, with Reilly Ell having seven rebounds for Groton. Groton had 16 turnovers with 10 being steals while Hamlin had 10 turnovers with five of them being steals, three by Sternhagen. Groton had more blocks, 4-1, with Madsen having two. Groton had more assists, 13-10, with Sternhagen having six.
• Hamlin won the junior varsity game, 59-29. Wyatt Larson and Bennett Shabazz each had seven points, Gabe Dohman and Spencer Knecht each had five, Jackson Doeden four and Shaun Schuring added one point.
• The boys C team came home with a 36-33 win. Landon Larson had 10 points, Shaun Schuring nine, Bennett Shabazz seven, Dylan Vogel six and Lane Weig and Stevie Fey each had two points.
• The Groton varsity girls had a 27-23 lead at half time, but the game slipped away in the second half as Groton made only six field goals while the Chargers made 10 on their way to a 51-46 win.
• Carly Wheeting led the Tigers with a double-double on the night and season high 25 points including two three-pointers and had 11 rebounds. The other starters also scored with Camille Sippel having nine, Halle Dohman and Kylie Hawkins with six each and Regan Lewandowski with one.
• Groton made 16 of 41 field goals, eight of 16 free throws, had 23 rebounds, three steals with Sippel having two, eight assists with Sippel having four, 16 fouls and 12 turnovers.
• The girls junior varsity game had an exciting finish with the Lady Tigers winning, 22-21. Hamlin led at the quarterbreaks at 11-4, 13-7 and 16-13.
• Audrey Wanner led Groton with eight points followed by Ashley Gibbs with five, Natalia Dohman four, Kaili Aberle with three and Marlee Jones two.
• The season is rapidly coming to a close with the boys hosting Roncalli on Monday (weather permitting) and Britton-Hecla on Friday while the girls travel to Britton on Thursday.
