Groton girls, Langford boys win

• Groton's girls won while the boys dropped their game to the Langford Lions in a double header played Tuesday night in Langford.
• Groton's starting five all scored in the girl's 36-31 win. Groton led at the quarterstops at 9-4, 15-11 and 27-23.
• Camille Sippel led the Tigers with 11 points followed by Kylie Hawkins with 10, Carly Wheeting six, Regan Lewandowski five and Halle Dohman added four.
• Kristen Erickson led Langford with a dozen points, Jenae Carson had 10, Tess Williams five and Nikki Amundson and Savannah Bivens each added two points.
• Groton made 15 of 39 field goals, six of 14 free throws off of Langford's 13 team fouls, had five assists with all of them by Sippel, and had nine turnovers with five being steals. Groton outrebounded Langford, 24-20, with Lewandowski having eight for Groton and Kristen Erickson having seven for Langford.
• Langford made 13 of 36 field goals, five of nine free throws off of Groton's 11 team fouls, and had 20 turnovers with five being steals.
• Groton pulled away from Langford in the second half of the junior varsity game after posting an 8-4 first quarter lead and a 14-10 lead at halftime. The Tigers took a 29-11 lead into the fourth quarter.
• Ten players scored for the Tigers with Audrey Wanner leading the with way with 10 points followed by Ashley Gibbs and Natalie Dohman with eight each, Marlee
