swered points, which included a steal and a basket by Reilly Ell and that caused Warner to call time-out. Groton's five point lead expanded to 10 by halftime as Kyler Ell made a three-pointer with 27 seconds left in the half to give Groton a 34-24 lead.
• Groton's lead swelled to 16 points at 49-33 and it stood at 13 at the end of the third quarter, 49-36.
• "I thought we rebounded really well up until the fourth quarter," Kjellsen said. "This was the first time we played the whole game in a zone defense. We didn't want to give them the rebounding advantage."
• Warner had cut the lead to nine twice in the fourth quarter, but could not get any closer. At one point, Groton took 90 seconds off the clock before Reilly Ell found an easy basket. Groton went on to win, 63-52.

"We didn't let Warner's height intimidate us," Kjellsen said. "Our boys are figuring out what to do on the varsity level. Most of them have not played any varsity level up until this year."
• Four players hit double figures for Groton with Reilly Ell leading the way with 18 points followed by Mason Madsen with 13, Wyatt Lone 12, Kyler Ell 11, Luke Sternhagen six and Jackson Doeden three.
• Groton made 55 percent of its field goals while Warner made 35 percent. Warner was 10 of 16 from the line off of Groton's 17 team fouls and Groton made 14 of 19 free throws off of Warner's 18 team fouls. Groton outrebounded Warner, 29-25 with Reilly Ell
