defense took its toll on the Redmen. Four straight turnovers were converted into eight points in two minutes as Groton took a 22-16 lead. Groton then turned the ball over and Savanna Haanen hit a three-pointer. Groton held a 24-20 lead at half time.

Groton outscored Sisseton, 15-1, to take a 39-21 lead. It was 39-23 at the end of the third quarter.
• Sisseton would have an 11-point run of its own and with 4:58 left in the game, Sisseton had closed to within seven, 39-32. Three Groton turnovers turned into eight points for the Redmen. Another Groton turnover allowed Pageler to bring the Redmen to within four, 41-37. Carly Wheeting and Dohman each made two free throws to build the Tiger lead to eight, 45-37, with 36 seconds left. Groton would miss four free throws in the last 30 seconds but the Redmen could not capitalize on the other end of the court. Pageler would make a shot with two seconds left for
