• I will discuss my pieces of legislation in future articles as they come up for committee hearings. For now, allow me to reintroduce myself to those who know me and introduce myself to those from the new part of our district. This year marks my 13th legislative session. Two years before I was elected to the Senate, I was a college intern, so this is the 14th year out of the past 15 that I have worked in the legislature. During my first 8 years, I served on the Senate Appropriations Committee. I also chaired the Senate Retirement Laws Committee for two years. Since moving to the House, I have been on the Commerce and Energy Committee, as well as the
