A storm system will track across the area today, bringing a mix of precipitation with it. The precipitation will be in form of snow across the western part of the area, while a mix of freezing rain and snow is expected across the east late this morning and this afternoon, before switching over to all snow during the evening hours. The highest snow accumulations are expected to occur east of the James River Valley. The snow will come to an end Tuesday morning.
