Lady Tigers beat Braves in close battle

• Britton-Hecla controlled the tip, but Courtney Kurtz had the first shot with a three-pointer as the Tigers were off and running. Groton opened up a 9-2 lead and took a 15-11 lead at the end of the first quarter. In the first quarter, Groton made six of 13 field goals, one of two free throws and had three turnovers that turned into six points for Britton-Hecla.
