tica, Ark., for $6,150. The minimum bid required was $8,000. Since it did not meet the minimum bid, the bid from Krine was rejected. The council decided just to keep the Tahoe for now as it can be used in the summer.
• Jeff Steen was renewed for a second five-year term on the planning and zoning commission.
• Scott Hanlon will attend a workshop on workplace violence on February 24.
• The February 18 meeting will be moved to February 19 due to President's Day.
• Petitions for city council can be taken out starting Friday. The positions up are Doug Hamilton, Brett Anderson, Eddy Opp and Mayor Roy Olson.
• Lowary reported on the tables at the community center. There were originally 50 tables and last year, there were 38 and this year it dropped down to 29. The council decided there are adequate table numbers for the present time.
• A family pass to the Groton Swimming Pool will be donated to the American Legion for a prize at its spring fundraiser event.
• The city representatives will be attending the Brown County Commission meeting at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday to discuss 12E going east of Groton. Members from the Groton Fire Department and from the Olive Grove Golf Course, along with the city council will be in attendance.
