• Groton will now travel to Britton-Hecla on Monday for a non-conference game. "They (Britton-Hecla) have Dallas Goddard," Kjellsen said. "He's 6-5 and good inside and outside shooter. He's a good player and if we can contain him a little bit, we'll be alright."

Boys junior varsity wins
• Groton's junior varsity team led at the quarterstops at 8-7, 17-15 and 29-21 en route to a 37-25 win.
• Luke Sternhagen led the Tigers with eight points followed by Jackson Doeden, Wyatt Larson and Kyler Ell with six each, Landon Larson had five, Gabe Dohman four and Dylan Vogel added two.
• Brody Bartholomew led the Tornadoes with 11 points.

The recycling trailer is in Groton. It is located at the city shop at 10 East Railroad Ave. Don't forget, there is also a dumpster at the city shop for aluminum cans with the proceeds going to the pool.
