• 2012 has been a busy year for the Groton Chamber of Commerce. A year that was wrapped up with end of the year awards at the annual meeting on Friday evening at the Olive Grove Country Club.
• The past year has seen the Chamber combine many new ideas with past traditional events. The initiation of the new Farm Family of the Year, the revival of the Shop Groton Holiday Promotions blended well with the familiar Triathlon, Santa Day and Grand Opening of new businesses.
• As the first Farm Family of the Year, Clint Sombke spoke about the honor and blessing his family felt in receiving the award.
