Howard Productions makes more contributions

• Howard Productions has given back to the Groton community over $35,000 from its annual fundraisers through the Party in the Pasture. The Party in the Pasture started in 2008 as a benefit for the Kenny Howard family and since then, it has continued giving to the community in support of Area IV Senior Nutrition, Brown County 4-H, Groton Soccer Association, Carnival of Silver Skates, Groton Area Chamber of Commerce, the Groton American Legion, Groton Family Crisis for swimming pool passes, Groton Golf Association and Destination Imagination.
• The 2012 proceeds are awarded to Brock Abeln to help defray expenses in building a handicapped bathroom in His apartment.
• There have been many volunteers that have helped to make the event a success including the members of the Groton Fire Department for making the mud for the volleyball and mud drag races. The City of Groton has allowed them to use the picnic tables each year and the city also assisted in setting light poles this past year.
• Plans for 2013 are underway and if anyone is interested in volunteering or has any ideas or needs, please contact committee members Jay Howard, Jesse Howard, Jeff Howard, Greg Belden, Wynella Abeln or Topper Tastad.
