• In the first quarter, both teams made five of 15 field goals while Groton was one of two from the line and Clark-Willow Lake attempted and missed one free throw. Groton had one turnover and Clark had two.
• Clark turned the ball over early in the second quarter and that set up Reilly Ell to make a three-pointer. Groton would open up a seven-point lead, 21-14, with 4:52 left in the half. "We shot the ball well in the first part of the game," said Coach Greg Kjellsen. "Then we went into a slump for part of the second quarter and part of the third quarter."
