• In the third quarter, Groton made four of 15 field goals, two of eight free throws and had one turnover that was converted into two points. Milbank made six of 12 field goals, one of two free throws and had two turnovers.
• Groton would outscore Milbank, 7-2, in the first half of the fourth quarter as Milbank's lead dwindled down to three, 39-36, with 4:03 left in the game. "We played real good with our man-to-man defense and our zone was okay too." In the final 3:33, Milbank would made five of 12 free throws and Groton had two turnovers and made two of four free throws. Milbank hung on to win, 44-38.
• "We're 6-4 on the season right now. We have a very young team and they keep

getting better with each game," Wanner said. "We won 11 games last year and our goal is to win more this year. We have 10 more games before the districts start so our goal is reachable."
