Strong System to Bring Widespread Wintry Precipitation to the Rockies, Northern Plains and Midwest

• Widespread heavy snow will impact the Rockies and northern Plains Thursday night into Friday. Freezing rain will fall over a large portion of the Upper-Midwest on Thursday night, before changing over to snow on Friday. Portions of the Rockies could receive as much as an additional foot of snow, while areas in the Northern Plains will receive up to 9 inches. Locally heavier amounts are possible.
