Groton Boys lead at halftime, drop game to Milbank

• Groton watched a 27-24 halftime lead disappear in the third quarter as Milbank went on to win in Tuesday's game at Milbank, 55-42.
• Reilly Ell led the Tigers with 21 points followed by Mason Madsen with 13, Kasey Kurtz and Kyler Ell each had three and Luke Sternhagen added two points.
• Groton made 38 percent of its field goals while Milbank made 52 percent. The Tigers were 13 of 23 from the line off of Milbank's 16 team fouls and Milbank made five of eight free throws off of Groton's 11 team fouls. Both teams had six assists with Madsen having two and Reilly Ell and Madsen each had one block. Groton had 16 turnovers with eight of them being steals and Milbank had 14 turnovers with nine of them being steals as Reilly Ell had three.
• Milbank won the junior varsity game, 35-31. Kyler Ell led the Tigers with 11 points followed by Luke Sternhagen with six, Wyatt Larson, Spencer Knecht and Dylan Vogel each had four and Jackson Doeden added two.
• Groton won the C game, 30-26.
