the Bearcats began to rally in the fourth quarter. They scored eight unanswered points, half of them from the charity line. With less than a minute left in the game, the Bearcats had closed the Groton lead to only two points. A free throw by Tori Bjerke extended the Lady Tiger lead to the three point span at end the game. The final score was 44-41.
• Courtney Kurtz was the only Groton play in double figures for the game. She scored 15 points, five field goals and sank five out of six free throws. Camille Sippel had nine points for the night and Tori Bjerke had eight. Sippel led the team in rebounds with six of the teams 25. The team had eight steals (Kurtz had five), nine assists, 13 turnovers and 16 team fouls.
• Whitney Keller was the leading scorer for the Bearcats with 14 points.
